🌸 A Grand Welcome to the New Vice Chancellor of Women University Mardan 🌸 Women University Mardan proudly welcomes Professor Dr. Razia Sultana as its newly appointed Vice Chancellor. To mark this prestigious occasion, the university organized a graceful and dignified welcome ceremony, attended by faculty members, students, and administrative staff — symbolizing a renewed spirit of progress and academic excellence. To celebrate her assumption of the new role, flag-hoisting ceremonies were held for both the national flag and the Women University Mardan flag, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony that brought together faculty, students, and staff in a warm, festive atmosphere. Professor Dr. Razia Sultana is a distinguished academic and seasoned administrator. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in History from Peshawar University, where she earned a Gold Medal for securing the top position in her field. In 1990, she was appointed professor, and in 1999, she completed her Ph.D. in History from Peshawar University. Her academic journey took her to international heights when she was selected as a Fulbright Scholar at the Center on International Cooperation, New York University, during 2002–2003. Beyond academia, Dr. Sultana brings with her a wealth of administrative experience, having served at prestigious institutions such as Peshawar University, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar. Her leadership roles have included Controller of Examinations, In-Charge of Admissions and Exams, Resident Warden, and Chairperson of the Department of History at Quaid-i-Azam University, where she served with excellence for six years. Soon after assuming charge, Dr. Sultana held an introductory meeting with all Heads of Departments (HoDs) and section heads, during which each shared updates on departmental progress and ongoing initiatives. The session was marked by mutual respect and a shared commitment to academic development and institutional advancement. Dr. Sultana’s unique blend of scholarly distinction, visionary leadership, and dedication to educational empowerment is expected to take Women University Mardan to new heights. Her appointment has been met with enthusiasm, and the university community looks forward to a future of innovation, excellence, and inclusive growth.
